How to Read Sandpaper Fidelity for Free

Update, 08/02/2012: Someone just let me know that Prime actually only allows you to borrow one book per month. This, quite frankly, seems like a huge rip-off to me. I apologize for the incorrect information in my original post. Please disregard everything below.

Did you know you can read #1-6 of Sandpaper Fidelity and thousands of other ebooks for free? With the Amazon Kindle Lending Library, you pay a flat fee of about $6.58 a month — $79 a year — and read as many ebooks as you want. If you’re an avid bookworm and read at least six books a month, the Kindle Prime membership pays for itself.

When you’re working with a tight budget, every dollar counts — especially when you’re not sure whether you’ll like a new series. Sandpaper Fidelity #1-6 will be available in the Lending Library until September 11th, 2012. Amazon also offers a free one-month trial so that you can check out Prime and see if it’s for you. In that one month, you could easily read all of the Sandpaper Fidelity issues!

Plus, when you borrow an issue through Amazon’s Lending Library, authors receive a portion of a monthly borrowing fund. In Sandpaper Fidelity‘s case, I earn more per borrow than I would have if you purchased it! :) By saving yourself money, you will still be supporting some of your favorite authors.

Click on any of the thumbnails below to get started, or sign up for Prime and then search for “Sandpaper Fidelity” on the Amazon website.

Get a Free Copy in Exchange for an Honest Review

I am looking for serious people who would like to exchange an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads, or both for a free copy of the Sandpaper Fidelity issue of your choice. I will email you the format you need — i.e., iBooks, Nook, Kindle, etc — and links to the respective Amazon and/or Goodreads pages.

You agree to:

  • review your copy no later than a month after you receive it*
  • write a quick paragraph in your review of your thoughts as well as rate it
  • be honest (I’d rather receive five two- and three-star reviews than five five-star reviews because you don’t want to hurt my feelings; remember, your responsibility as a reviewer is to other readers, not the author)

If you are serious, please email Elizabeth Barone at contact@sandpaperfidelity.com. Please include which issue(s) you would like to review and which format you need. I would be especially grateful if you reviewed the first four issues!

I won’t be doing this forever, so if you’ve been hesitant to check out the series, now is your chance to do so without spending any money and while helping me out!

*Each issue is only 1,000 words, so should be a relatively quick read. I need reviews as soon as possible — #2-4 have absolutely none on neither Amazon nor Goodreads as of this writing — so in order to make sure people are serious, have to set deadlines. If you don’t think you have the time but still really want to do it, let me know in your email and we can talk.

Sandpaper Fidelity #1 Now Available

Reptar, Reptar, gotta find that Reptar...

Sandpaper Fidelity #1: “Between the Lines” is now available! Check out its shiny new Amazon page: click here. To mark the occasion, I’m wearing my Reptar tee shirt.

To be honest, I planned on uploading it on the 19th, but I ran into some marketing hiccups and… here it is. I’ve been freaking out about it lately, though, so it’s kind of a good thing that it’s up. Now I can focus on other things (like getting #2 ready, heh).

I gave away some ARCs in the last couple weeks, and it got good feedback on Goodreads from some of the people who read it. I’ll be watching the Amazon reviews and sales reports like a hawk in the next couple of weeks to see if all of the anticipation I tried to build worked. :D

This series has been like a baby. I incubated it for six months, and now it’s hatched. *sniffle* They grow up so fast!

I wish I could think of something more profound to say, being that this is a sort of adventure for me; I don’t think anyone’s tried this format before (but if I’m wrong, please tell me): monthly series with each “chapter” at a low price. Nerdy confession: I thought it would be neat to try out the model that comic books use.

So here we go.
